WASHINGTON, D.C. – This morning, U.S. Senator Rand Paul welcomed veterans from Kentucky and Indiana traveling on their Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Kentucky veterans traveled from cities including Bowling Green, Louisville, Glasgow, Radcliff, Owensboro, and Frankfort.
“Today, I had the privilege of greeting our nation’s heroes as they visited their memorials,” said Dr. Paul. “While we can never fully repay them for the sacrifices they and their families and fellow soldiers made, special days like these give us a chance to show them we will never forget.”
Honor Flight Bluegrass provided a free trip to our nation’s capital for 85 veterans. In addition to the World War II Memorial, the veterans also toured the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Marine Corps War Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery.
