WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today on the Senate floor, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) urged support for President Donald Trump’s efforts to declare victory and bring more American troops home. He also spoke out against the bipartisan consensus for endless war.

“I’m tired of America always doing everybody else’s fighting. I’m tired of America always paying for everybody else’s war,” Dr. Paul stated in his speech.

“So I would like to ask unanimous consent that we get rid of the resolution condemning the president, and that we replace it with a resolution that says simply this: that we applaud President Trump for being bold and brave enough to consider bringing our troops home, declaring victory, and ending America’s longest war,” he later added.
