WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator and physician Rand Paul (R-KY) released the following statement on the expected passage of the Emmett Till Antilynching Act of 2022 (H.R. 55) in the U.S. House of Representatives and affirmed his intention to cosponsor the Senate version once it is introduced:
“I’m pleased to have worked with Senators Cory Booker and Tim Scott to strengthen the final product and ensure the language of this bill defines lynching as the absolutely heinous crime that it is, and I’m glad to cosponsor this bipartisan effort,” said Dr. Paul.
