WASHINGTON, D.C. – Recently, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke with Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Boris Epshteyn about President Trump’s rescissions proposal to cut over $15 billion in unneeded funding. In May, Dr. Paul joined U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and several other senators in introducing legislation, the Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act, that contains President Trump’s spending reductions. 

“You’re getting rid of money that has simply been sitting there and not been spent,” Dr. Paul stated in the interview.
