WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rand Paul today released the following statement applauding the Supreme Court’s decision to temporarily halt President Obama’s regulations on the coal industry:
“It is encouraging that the Supreme Court halted one of President Obama’s most destructive anti-coal rules, which would be devastating to Kentucky’s coal industry and our nation as a whole. This is good news and hopefully will lead to a permanent stop on this regulation. It also underscores the need to pass the REINS Act that I introduced last year, which would require all major regulations, just like this one, to come before Congress for a vote and would certainly allow Congress to stop them,” Sen. Paul said.
